With a compact size allowing for comfortable one-handed use, this axe is crafted of the highest quality materials. It features a first-of-its-kind tumble-varnished hickory wood handle with FiberComp™ overstrike protection and an over-molded axe head for the strongest, safest head & shaft connection. Its double-hardened, precision-ground carbon steel blade stays sharper longer, and a low-friction blade coating keeps the head from getting stuck. Like every Fiskars® axe, this kindling axe employs perfected weight distribution, advanced blade geometry, an ultra-sharp edge and a virtually unbreakable design.
