The Barbie Fashionistas doll line began in 2009. The first Barbie Fashionistas dolls were released in October 2009. There are 7 poseable dolls that are based on different personality traits. The characters are Glam, Cutie, Girly, Wild, Sassy, Artsy and Hottie. The dolls feature 12 points of movements (including the wrists, elbows and waist) so they are capable of doing more than 100 poses. The Ken Fashionistas Hottie Doll had less articulation points.
